This October was a month of many firsts for Clifton Observatory! Throughout the year we have enjoyed hosting a number of private events, ranging from weddings and parties to corporate meetings, yet in October we were excited to debut our very own public event.

For Halloween we launched our Haunted Hill Halloween Party which was a great success overall, selling just over 100 tickets! We invested in some spooky decorations and saw the Observatory come alive as the perfect setting for some Halloween fun. We want to thank all of those who came along and helped make it a brilliant evening!

We also held our children’s Halloween Trail during the October half term, inviting children to come and explore our giant’s cave and tower in return for a Halloween treat! This also proved to be hugely popular and it was great to see families and children of all ages heading up to the Observatory in their best costumes to enjoy our attractions.

We are looking to hold more of our own social events for everybody to come along and enjoy so watch this space! Keep an eye on our website for our ‘What’s On’ page which will highlight all of our social events for the upcoming year.

The Observatory team have not only been busy organising and hosting all of our own events but have also found the time to attend a number of events in Bristol. We were delighted to be nominated at the Bristol Loves Awards for ‘Best Bristol Experience’ and had a wonderful evening attending the awards night at the Colston Hall. Clifton Observatory want to thank Bristol Post for our invitation and nomination.

In addition to this, we were proud to exhibit at Business Showcase South West which was held at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol. The event was a huge success and gave us the opportunity to meet and connect with numerous businesses that we look forward to working with in the future.

This was the first Autumn period for our café 360 and we have been extremely pleased to see that the café has remained popular as the perfect spot to warm up and enjoy the views across Bristol. Our delicious Bristol Twenty hot chocolates with extra toppings have been the most popular item on the menu by far. We are planning a number of changes to our menu ready for the winter so look out on our social media and website for our new additions! We also want to thank all of our customers for their continued support and we look forward to you joining us throughout the Christmas season.
