Glass Cafè at Clifton Observatory, lunch with a view.

You may have had the pleasure of visiting the Clifton Observatory 360 rooftop café for the last two summers, taking the opportunity to enjoy a drink overlooking the spectacular views of Bristol City and Brunel’s Suspension Bridge. It has been unfortunate that the café has remained seasonal and unable to open all year round due to the typical British weather, despite the requests we receive daily from the general public looking to enjoy the facilities and views.

Well, we have listened!  Clifton Observatory is excited to announce that this summer will see the opening of our new glass café to the public all year round 7 days a week. The glass café will allow people to sit indoors and warm up with a nice cup of tea in the cold months and enjoy the rays of the sun with a cool smoothie & ice cream in the summer.

But we are not stopping there! We are also planning a makeover for our rooftop terrace as we aim to make this space better for everyone. We are still putting together ideas, so if you have any thoughts on how we can improve this space leave a comment and let us know.

The construction for the Glass café is underway and will be opening this summer, keep posted for opening date announcements!

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused in the area during this construction process and hope you are all just as excited as we are about having a new café by the bridge.
